SAVE THE NUMBERS
While you might not find a peer-reviewed double-blind study definitively stating "X extra inches of house number height reduces fatalities by Y%," the operational experience and common sense dictate that larger, clearly visible, and well-placed house numbers significantly enhance the ability of first responders to quickly locate residential properties, thereby contributing to faster response times and potentially improved outcomes in emergencies. It's a simple, low-cost measure with a potentially high impact on safety.
Emergency services consistently emphasize that time is of the essence. Precious minutes spent searching for an address can mean the difference between life and death in a medical emergency, preventing a small fire from becoming a major blaze, or apprehending a suspect. Because of this, we are petitioning the Strata Council to bring a motion forward at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) to amend the following bylaw.
Ratify new Rules/Bylaws
BE IT RESOLVED That the owners of KAS2014 Somerville Corner, propose that bylaw 6. (1)(g)
